Each full-grain hide is waxed, oiled and finished to achieve an exceptionally soft, velvety hand. The burnished surface is enhanced by dramatic highs and lows and natural markings. Tumbled for nearly a day to achieve a warm, matte finish. The purity of water used during the time-intensive process gives the leather a buttery-soft feeling. Twelve layers of wax are applied by hand to the Brazil hides, and then gently polished to bring out subtle highlights and lowlights for the authentic look of age. Over time and with wear, the leather will develop a lighter patina and soft, supple hand. Variations in color and texture make each piece unique. Leather is a natural product, and both texture and color will vary slightly
from hide to hide. Do not use polishes, preservers or leather soaps to clean.
Dab spills immediately with a soft cloth and use a mild soap and water to
lift the stain. Surface scratches can be rubbed out with the warmth of a
finger or a soft, dry chamois cloth. Avoid excessive exposure to direct
sunlight, heat and air conditioning.
